“The Fight, The Spirit” is the first record in a series of 3 records, that mark a new collaborative chapter between the Echo Park, Los Angeles artists: Isaac Haile Selassie and dubLoner (AKA [a]pendics.shuffle, Eight Frozen Modules, Kenneth J. Gibson). After the critical success of Isaac Haile Selassie meets ... (de'fchild 009), Issac & Ken were back in the studio in 2009 conjuring up a modern yet rootsy sound that would prove to be some of the most forward reaching electronic dub of 2010. On the remix front, Djunya & Kush Arora reversion the title track towards floor-filling contemporary dubstep & bassed-up dancehall styles respectively, while Ruoho Ruotsi goes ultra deep and effervescent on his version of Back Off!. “The Fight, The Spirit” is available as limited edition wax with individually hand spray-screened sleeves from May 25th, 2010. Also available digitally at finer web shops.
