Maurice Fulton

Had an eventful performance on with CLH on Saturday, the crowd was feeling the vibe, even though the place wasn't jammed pack full like in July, we did have 2 encores. On the flipside, the tediously long 3 hour soundcheck, peppered with lots of bad and fighting words and not-so-good karma between soundmen and bandmates, and my somewhat futile attempts to keep things moving smoothly, definitely coloured the experience.

There was also the fact that my role in the group, somewhat inconspicuously, in light of Dan's departure several weeks ago, and my overall absence in SF, was distinctly more passive, which I wasn't terribly pleased about. Nevertheless, it was a good occasion to get out in front of a crowd and do my thing .... so trankwil ...

So looks like there's a lot of brilliant music happening in Montréal now, next week one of my all time fave producers Maurice Fulton, will be in town ..arrgghh !! .. only to be followed by another top dog, Sasu Ripatti, in his Luomo guise ...yeah man, the programmation at the MEG this year is pretty good ....definitely not to be missed if those two can deliver!!!
