I'm really excited about efforts that libraries around the world are making to scan in ancient books and manuscripts, documents that I otherwise would never have a chance to read. Case in point is a series of scans from De Naturae Simia by Robert Fludd (1574-1637) of instruments and other systems of musical thought (courtesy of University of Utah)
